Wonderful historic hotel right across from the Bordello museum. Donna was so nice and welcoming, she took the time to show us around the hotel and tell great stories about its history and past residents. Each room is beautifully and individually decorated. It’s like stepping back in time. We stayed in a room that had its own bathroom, but there are some rooms that have shared baths and facilities. We took a look at the shared baths and they are so nice I’m sure that would be no problem. A light breakfast of fruit, pastries, coffee and tea is in the lobby in the morning. I highly recommend this hotel. It is affordable excellence.

Dear Proprietors of the Ryan Hotel: Your restored & refurnished lodging facility is absolutely charming!

Staying here was like stepping into a time machine 7 traveling back 70 years & we slept marvelously.

Thanks for the experience!

The owners of this hotel were all extremely nice, welcoming, and helpful. The hotel is historic and matched the town with the sort of antiquated, frozen-in-history feel. Everything was clean and comfortable. A friend and I only got a room with a queen in it, and we had a shared bathroom but it wasn’t a bother at all.

WOW! ...If you’re looking for a Holiday Inn, Wyndham or Marriott... keep on looking. But if you would like to step back into time (early 1900’s) and experience something special, this is it! This entire town was preserved on the Historical Registry (including the Ryan Hotel) keeping it from being bulldozed when Interstate 90 was built. Hence... The freeway that is now on stilts over part of the city. The town is full of antique shops and the Ryan Hotel has a great share of them also, throughout all the rooms and more!

Please overlook the original sink that remains here or there that doesn’t have a perfect finish. Forgive them if your bedroom only has one electrical outlet. Instead, enjoy the beautiful carpeting, antique furniture and elegant and unique bedrooms from a time which once was.

We heard from both the host and a restaurant downtown that large groups rent this place. We can see why. We loved it and plan on returning with friends. Slow down and take a trip back in time while you still can.

What a pleasant surprise to find this gem while vacationing in North Idaho. We stayed in a lovely suite that was clean, comfortable and decorated with antiques and homey comforts. Can’t beat the price for the experience and comfort. Our room, as well as the entire hotel made us feel like we had stepped back in time. The owners were incredibly hospitable and saw that our every need was met. We LOVED our stay and will definitely stay again.

My husband I and I spent a wonderful night in the suite at the Ryan Hotel last month. It was a terrific value, the room was spotlessly clean and the owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. At their recommendation, we had a great meal just around the corner, and a local microbrew on tap down the street. We loved our time in Wallace and will definitely be back to the Ryan. Thanks, Johnsons!
